In January 2012, the 100% cruelty free brand Isntree was born. Their unusual name was created with the emphasis on preserving one’s beauty through the use of products with pure, natural and safe plant based ingredients, harvested from Jeju Island. Founder Jinwoo Kim was Korea’s first beauty blogger, who wrote about transparency in product ingredients when the law of listing all ingredients in beauty products was implemented in 2008.
